The Iraqi government is optimistic to get out of Chapter VII

Iraqi government expressed optimism that the country's exit from Chapter VII which restricts the disposition of the funds.

The media adviser to Prime Minister Ali al-Moussawi told the newspaper Al-Hayat that "Iraq carried out the terms of his release from Chapter VII, and soon we're done that stage."

He explained that "this chapter depriving the country of dispose بإيراداتها without immunity or international protection, due to the invasion of Kuwait |.

The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon called on the Security Council to remove Iraq from Chapter VII, and put an end to claim بمعاقبته.

Turning to the negotiations between Baghdad and Kuwait, and added that the two countries reached the "good level of confidence and opened a new chapter in their relations."

And asked the Council to "terminate the threat of sanctions or the use of force on the Council to discuss this issue next week."

And took Iraq and Kuwait in recent months many procedures to settle their differences on general aviation companies and restoration of monuments border.

In a letter to the United Nations supported the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Khalid Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Secretary-General's proposal.
Ban acknowledged that the issue of missing Kuwaitis «still hurts families concerned, but stressed that the Iraqi government has made" commendable effort "to address them.

He added: "If the Council adopted my recommendations, Iraq will no longer be covered by Chapter VII in relation to this file, and will be an additional step towards the restoration of the former international stature." He added: "I recommend that the Security Council by subjecting only humanitarian contentious issue between Iraq and Kuwait with Chapter VI of the UN Charter."

It is expected that the Security Council decide the subject at a later date of the month.
