A statement by the Office of the al-Mutlaq, that during the meeting discussed the overall bilateral relations between Baghdad and Washington and the necessity of activating the strategic framework agreement signed between Iraq and the United States of America. The statement added that the two sides focused on the political crisis gripping the country and ways to resolve the legal and constitutional frameworks in order to find a balanced partnership between the parliamentary blocs to achieve democratic objectives, noting that al-Mutlaq and Jeffrey also discussed the importance of removing Iraq from the provisions of Chapter VII and the restoration of his rights in full.
