Baghdad, June 16 (Rn) - The Foreign Relations Committee, the parliamentary Saturday informed via the reports they received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the agreements that take place during meetings of the Iraq - Kuwait, which holds the joint resolution of outstanding issues between the two sides.
A member of the Committee Youkhana Imad, told the Kurdish news agency
(Rn) that his committee "looked steadily through the reports they
received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the outcome of the
meetings of joint committees, Iraq - Kuwait on the outstanding issues
... there is cooperation between the Commission and the ministry in this
area." The members of the House of Representatives have warned of the consequences of the uniqueness of the government in one-sided agreements with Kuwait on file pending a return to the House of Representatives.
The member of the Committee that the "important issues outstanding between Iraq and Kuwait is the debt and file and the file of the border port of Mubarak ... do not believe there are secret agreements occur and harm the interest of Iraq because the Iraqi negotiating team is keen to Iraqi sovereignty."
The Iraqi prime minister has ended an official visit to Kuwait in March last March at the head of a ministerial delegation, calling the visit a success.
Baghdad said after the visit that they have reached an agreement worth $ 500 million with Kuwait to settle debts dating back to the Gulf War prevented the Iraqi Airways.
Kuwait rejected the withdrawal of Iraq from Chapter VII of the UN Security Council to meet its obligations towards them, while with respect to three files is the issue of missing Kuwaitis and archives, as well as the issue of border demarcation between the two countries.
