Said President Jalal Talabani, said that meetings and contacts made by
Germany promising prospects for a breakthrough in the crisis.
A statement for the presidency received Agency (news) copy of it: that President Talabani received on Thursday at his residence in Germany, the Secretary-General of the Iraqi Islamic Party and the head of the parliamentary center Iyad al-Samarrai, accompanied by leaders of the Islamic Party. Where Samarrai congratulated President Talabani successful surgery he underwent.
He expressed his confidence that the return of President Talabani to home will have a significant impact on the intensification of the ongoing contacts between the parties to the political process to find solutions to urgent and effective to the dilemmas faced by the country.
The statement added: that the President of the Republic stressed that the meetings and contacts made by Germany promising prospects for a breakthrough in the crisis in order to reach compromise solutions, adding that he will continue his efforts to bring the views if he returned to his homeland soon.
