Arbil September 27 / September (Rn) - The head of the House of
Representatives Osama Najafi on the importance of the independence of
the central bank, stressing the need to control the exchange rate of the
Iraqi dinar.
According to a statement issued by the Information Office of the
President of the House of Representatives today that "Najafi search
yesterday with Chairman of the Board of Supreme Audit Abdul Basit Turki
central bank policy and the mechanism by which works out now."
He added that "the two sides discussed the findings of the investigative committee composed of the Finance Committee and the parliamentary Economic Committee and Chairman of the Board of Supreme Audit on the daily auction, organized by the Central Bank to sell the dollar."
The statement quoted Najafi its emphasis on "the importance of the independence of the central bank," pointing out that "follow the daily auction of foreign currency a priority being placed in the control of the Iraqi dinar exchange rate."
