The Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations parliamentary Hamoudi complicated procedures to remove Iraq from Chapter VII marched country and committed to its implementation, and is now waiting to take him out of this item.
He told all of Iraq [where], that "the country out of Chapter VII is not easy nor is based on emotions, there are complicated procedures walked where Iraq, and committed to their implementation, and much has been done, and now my understanding that the ball in the court of the Kuwaiti side that is peace" .
Hamoudi said that the "emir promised to pay a visit to Iraq for a long time, and postponed a visit, and we hope to have a presence in order to file Chapter VII solution, especially with the development of relations between Iraq and Kuwait."
Iraq has been under since 1990 under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations, which imposed after the invasion of Kuwait in August of the same year.
This item allows the use of force against Iraq as a threat to international security, in addition to freezing large amounts of its assets in financial global banks, to pay compensation to those affected by the invasion of Kuwait. Ended 2
