Urged the Japanese Finance Minister John Izumi China on Sunday to adopt a more flexible policy on the currency, he said, adding that Japan and China want greater efforts from Europe to end the debt crisis.
Izumi is visiting China for talks on cooperation between the two countries in the financial sector and debt problems in Europe.
China has become the largest market for Japanese exports and the first trade partner of the country, overtaking the United States.
